Students from the School of Engineering and the School of Information Technology at Universidad de Dagupan are currently participating in the Virtual CommTECH Exploration 2025, an international short program hosted by Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Indonesia, from April 21 to May 2, 2025.

This immersive virtual program is designed to introduce participants from around the world to the intersection of technology and culture in Indonesia, offering a unique blend of academic insights, student innovation showcases, and rich cultural experiences.

Representing Universidad de Dagupan in this year’s program are:

• Aldrean B. Tinaya – BSECE III

• Shane Ferl De Vera – BSECE III

• Emmanuel L. David – BSECE III

• Ana Victoria V. Alentajan – BSCS II

• Carl Jacob Lavaro – BSIT II

The ongoing program features:

• Virtual tours of the ITS campus and the city of Surabaya

• Innovative showcases of student-led projects in robotics, automotive technology, and sustainability

• Cultural immersion through Batik-making workshops, traditional music and dance, Bahasa Indonesia lessons, and local culinary experiences

• Collaborative sessions leading up to a Virtual Project Exhibition, where students will present creative solutions and ideas

Participants are not only gaining insights into Indonesian innovation and tradition but are also engaging in meaningful global collaboration with fellow students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
